Cycling New Mexico Introduction
From the origin of ancient civilizations to the birthplace of atomic energy, New Mexico's unique influence spans millennia. Its colorful history and landscape have inspired so many elite artists and writers, including Georgia O'Keefe and D.H. Lawrence.
You too, will be fascinated by New Mexico's compelling blend of history and scenic beauty as you cruise through this storied countryside. We take time to enjoy the sights along the way, with visits to Native American cliff dwellings, Ghost Ranch, and historic downtowns in Taos and Sante Fe. There is plenty of natural beauty too, as we explore Carson National Forest, cross the famous Rio Grande, and take in the stone cliffs of Bandelier.
We travel at a relaxed pace on this introductory cycling tour, riding about 25 miles a day. On two days we offer a longer ride; giving enthusiastic riders a chance for a challenge, while riders who don't want to go the distance can take advantage of our support van to cut down the day's mileage.
