Santa Cruz Singletrack
Our trip offers a little bit of everything on our scenic ride in the surrounding area of Santa Cruz, California. We will begin our Mountain bike ride from Wilder Ranch State Park known for its preservation of just about everything. From the brussel sprout fields being an agricultural preserve, Wilder Ranch is in a cultural preserve with the beach being a natural preserve. Wilder Ranch has 4,000 acres of beach, bluffs, and inland canyons. As the tour progresses, you will see beachfront of the Monterrey Bay and learn a little history at Fort Ord State Park where over a million U.S military men trained from 1917-1944. Not only will you have plenty of scenery to admire but some technical and physical elements for the “playground” in Soquel Demonstration State Park. This place is full of jumps, drops, log obstacles, and even a seesaw. From lush green preserves giant redwoods, you’ll be sure to see and ride something that will make this ride unlike any other Escape Adventure.
Many routes are above 7,000 feet and peak climbs require healthy lungs, but the phenomenal singletrack riding, coupled with remarkable scenery, make the effort well worthwhile.
