2016 has been named the year of Adventure Travel, and with more access to remote locations and so many opportunities to try the extreme, it seems like a no brainer to us that you should get out take part. And it’s not JUST for fun… there are perks that come from being more adventurous. Just to name a few, adventure travel can give you a sense of accomplishment as well as make you more confident, adaptable, courageous, easy-going, less stressed and more intelligent. And that’s not all…let us break it down for you in just SOME of the reasons adventure travel will make you a happier you.
1. Quality time with family and friends.
2. Quality time to yourself.
3. Remind yourself that there is more to life than Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.
4. Build self-confidence.
5. Make yourself more interesting.
6. You will emit positive energy.
Ever heard the phrase “Smile and the world smiles with you”? It’s true! Happiness is catching, and when you’re reeling off an enchanting mountain bike ride through the rugged backcountry of Idaho’s Sawtooth Mountains, you’re more likely to greet people with the smile that’s stuck on your face than with bad news you heard on the radio this morning. Share what you’ve learned through your adventures and do so with excitement and enthusiasm. Adventure can change how you think, and “If you change how you think then you will change how you feel and what actions you take. And so the world around you will change” – Henrik Edberg.
Our favorite trip for this: Mountain Biking Idaho Hot Springs & Singletracks, ID.
Picture yourself cruising into camp after a beautiful and challenging ride only to be met by a freshly prepared dinner and a cascading natural hot spring. This scene puts a smile on our faces just thinking about it. After a 6 day trip into the Sawtooth Mountains backcountry, your excitement for life will be palpable and contagious.
