Here at Escape Adventures, Las Vegas Cyclery, and Moab Cyclery, we stand by our commitment to the environment. Our bike shops and tour centers are all at least net-zero energy. In fact, they are producing so much energy we feed it back to the grid and do enough carbon offsetting that we can off-set all of our guests entire bicycling vacations! We recently converted our shop in Moab to run off of solar power too and we invite you to go check it out. There are many ways that we can reduce our environmental impacts but today we decided to focus on something everyone can do: recycling.
At Escape Adventures we recycle quite a bit. We recycle typical bike shop treasures; such as tires, tubes, chain rings, aluminum parts including frames, wheels/rims and other metals. Furthermore, we recycle shoes, ink cartridges, batteries, light bulbs, rubber, plastic, paper, waste oil, glass and metals. We also sell a fair amount of recycled bicycle goods such as; belts, wallets, phone cases all made from old tubes. Bottle openers made from old chains and cogs and beautiful jewelry made from old bike parts. Even the mechanics compost at the bike shop!
As a business we are doing our best to reduce our impact as we know that the business sector is the largest producer of carbon emissions. Join us in our efforts.
