Escape Adventures rents quality bicycles from Specialized and Santa Cruz. If you would like to rent a bicycle for your trip, we will fit you with a high quality, durable and safe ride. Our chosen road bike is equipped with a carbon fiber frame designed for a smooth, comfortable ride. Our mountain bikes are full-suspension, lightweight and adjustable. Availability of the elite/demo bikes are specific to your destination and should be confirmed in your itinerary. Please contact us for more information, 800.596.2953.
Bicycles are provided by our tour centers in Las Vegas and Moab. Our local tour centers also rent bicycles and offer day tours. Please contact the shop directly for day rental/tour questions.
All bicycle rentals are equipped with flat pedals and a complimentary water bottle. Helmet and clipless pedals are available upon request, and are included in the rental price. Please specify your individual needs when confirming your reservation. If you are leaving a familiar bicycle at home, we highly recommend bringing your pedals. Your guides will be happy to install them for you during orientation.
The Specialized Stumpjumper is the best bang for your buck! This bike features 150 mm of front and rear travel, which is plenty of cushion to soak up any bump in the trail. Visit the Specialized site for more information. Individual components on rental bikes may vary slightly. Call for more information.
(Please see your specific itinerary for availability of the elite rentals.)
For more information concerning specs and geometry of the Specialized bikes, visit the individual bike pages (click on the bikes above to access specific bike details.). Individual components on rental bikes may vary slightly. Call for more information.
Specialized hybrid bikes are the most comfortable bikes available. Our most popular bike for multi-sport and moderate road bike tours is the proven Sirrus. This bike is suited for a wide range of cyclists. This bike sits upright, is equipped with a very comfortable seat, and the gearing has a wide range of speeds.
(Please see your specific itinerary for the availability of the elite rental fleet.)

All of our road bike trips include a Garmin GPS device to help you navigate through each day safely and smoothly. You’ll know how far, fast, and high you’ve ridden on the flats or climbs or on your way through each day. Includes navigation with turn prompts that will even show you how to get back to start. Simply turn it on and start riding. No paper maps needed!
When you are on the road in the daytime, it is important to us to make sure you are seen from all directions. We offer the best daytime lighting by our partner NiteRider. Each road bike is equipped with a LUMINA MICRO 650 AND SABRE 80 COMBO with a Lumen Output: 650 and Run Time: 1:30 – 20:00 hrs.
Our Family trailers are ideal for those little ones on tours who are not quite ready to ride but want to hang with mom and dad. These trailers are optional on all Family Getaway Tours at an additional cost. Burley Trailer seats up to two kids and converts to stroller.
For $90 we will receive your bike, assemble it, tune it to make sure everything works properly, and disassemble it. You are responsible for the cost of shipping to and from the meeting location. You will be charged for return shipping after the tour. If you are shipping your bike, please write your name, trip, and trip date on the outside of the box AND attach this information to your frame. We must receive all shipped bikes no less than four days before your tour. PLEASE CALL prior to tour FOR EXACT SHIPPING ADDRESS.
In the past, we have had a number of bikes either damaged and/or delayed by UPS. If your bike is damaged, it can take UPS up to three months to pay for damages. Often, using one of our bikes is the most convenient and cost-effective option. Renting our bike means that your bike will be waiting for you and you will not have to worry about the airlines or shipping companies losing or damaging it.
Bringing your bike on the plane can be quite costly (up to $75 each way) and will require you to assemble your bike in your hotel room before the tour. Most hotels will let you store your bike container for the duration of the tour. Due to space constraints, we cannot take your bike box on the tour van. However, if you do want to bring your bike, we recommend bringing it on the plane with you rather than shipping it UPS. Call 888-442-4622 for membership information.
