For over 25 years, the hallmark of an Escape Adventures tour is personalized, hands-on service. Before, during, and after each trip. We are a company of honesty and integrity and we stand behind our product 100%. From the moment you learn of our trips, to the time you return home and start planning your next trip, we are here to bring you the best possible experience.
From our Guaranteed Trip Departure Confirmation Policy, making sure your trip is never cancelled, to our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee Policy, backing the unrivaled consistent quality of all our tours, our commitment to you is never compromised.
Our environmental commitment is second to none. It is our way of doing business, our way of being.
At Escape Adventures, we want to make the world a better place. More importantly we believe in leading by example. We run our tours the same way we run our company, with an eye on the triple bottom line: People, Profit & Planet. This means we treat our customers, our community, and our planet with respect, and let our business grow organically. We have always run a value-based and mission-driven company.
At Escape Adventures, we elected to pursue a more comprehensive approach to actually reduce our carbon footprint, rather than just offset it. We overhauled our entire operation — from our vehicles, to our buildings, to our procedures — to become an outdoor industry leader in the charge to help our people and our planet.
Leading tours naturally followed from our passion of exploring our favorite places with our friends. As we’ve expanded our service throughout the years from daily biking tours to a vast selection of multi-day mountain biking, road biking, hiking, and multi-sport tours across the nation, our philosophy hasn’t changed. For us it’s all about enjoying and protecting the natural environment and sharing the places and activities we love.
Our support staff includes our reservation team who is there to answer your questions about the tours, our service team who prepares your bike and gear for the tour, and our guide team – the ones who take you into the great outdoors. The highest level of responsibility, good nature, integrity, and dedication are standard traits of all those who work at Escape Adventures. We our proud of it and we think you should know it.
Having custom-made vehicles allows us to take you to places few other outfitters can, or will go. Every Escape Adventures tour is accompanied by at least one support vehicle, trailer, and in some cases a second and third transfer van. As you thumb through our catalog, you will also notice our vehicles are big, tough, and different. These are not stock vehicles. After purchase, we custom engineer our trucks, vans, and trailers by our on-staff mechanic to meet the unique needs of different tours. For example, certain trucks are specifically designed for The White Rim and The Maze, while others are designed for The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. We also innovate and try new things with our fleet; Notably, in 2007, we converted many of our support vehicles to vegetable-oil burning engines. We were able to reduce our carbon footprint significantly for more than 5 years! Amazingly, we didn’t sacrifice performance.
It doesn’t just end with a great support vehicle, you need experienced and qualified drivers. Each of our guides is required to be trained in safe vehicle operation, 4X4 driving, and basic maintenance. Our experienced guides make it look easy, transporting you and up to 12 guests, along with their bikes, fresh food, camping gear and plenty of drinking water to a remote location.
Make your trip as comfortable as possible on the body, as simple as possible for traveling, and hasstle free on tour. By choosing to rent a bike from us, we will fit you with the newest, highest quality gear in the industry. Escape Adventures provides only high-end bicycles from Santa Cruz and Specialized. We replace our rental fleet each season to ensure all our rentals meet our standards. All of our mountain bikes are equipped with full suspension frames and disc brakes designed for a smooth, comfortable ride. For those who are touring with a companion who may not be as fit or need a little help up the hills, we now have eMountainbikes (electric pedal assist) available on select tours.
Camping gear may be rented or you may bring your own. All of our camping gear is tested and hand-chosen from top manufacturers to ensure you get a good nights’ sleep. Our camp gear package includes a three-man tent with fly and a ground tarp, 30-degree sleeping bag, bag liner, raised cot, camp pillow, and sleeping pad.
Our food isn’t just good, it’s good for you. Food is a big part of the Escape Adventures experience. Our guides prepare all of your meals on our camping trips, while most dinners and breakfasts are served at local restaurants on our inn tours. Expect three delicious meals a day consisting entirely of freshly prepared foods. These include fresh organic fruits and vegetables as well as meats. We also have energy snacks aboard our support vehicles. Don’t be surprised if your guides purchase fresh fruits and healthy snacks throughout the day while you are out riding. They may just show up on the trail with a local treat!
On our Camping Tours guides prepare gourmet meals out in the open, grilling fajitas over an open fire and baking enchilada pie in an outdoor Dutch oven. Some of our guests’ favorite guide specialties include blueberry pancakes for breakfast, veggie-feta wraps and pasta for lunch, and bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms and deep dish pizza for dinner. And we don’t forget the dessert either- from pineapple upside down cake to chocolate fondue, there’s sure to be something to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Many of our guests are vegans or vegetarians, whom we are more than happy to accommodate. If you have special diet requirements or limitations, just let us know when you sign-up and we’ll work with you to meet your needs.
We know that a good night’s sleep is the key to a great day of adventure. With Escape Adventures you are able to experience unique style and local hospitality in the best inns and campsites available.
When we refer to the term Luxury, we refer to, “the very best”. Our founder, Jared Fisher, not only claims a professional education in Hotel and Restaurant Management, he’s also a student of the culinary arts. His working knowledge and familiarity with elite hospitality carried over to the selection of our lodgings. Each Luxury Inn was handpicked in advance: the criteria being 4-5-star service, room quality, and cultural themes. Our restaurants are chosen in a similar fashion: emphasizing experience and culture, but with particular attention paid to best local ingredients. Look for Luxury Inns and Restaurants on select tours.
Because of the nature of our very remote trekking and traveling locales, we retire to only the best, handpicked hotels and available inns. Put another way, we take your decompression seriously. Our Casual Inn tours provide the best of both worlds: enjoy exciting outdoor adventures by day; then return to town each evening for a scrumptious meal. Followed by bedding down warm and ultra comfortably.
We choose inn accommodations that add another rather distinct dimension to your travel. From special amenities like hot tubs and fireplaces, to historic character and unique charm, our inns offer you something extra. While the inns featured on our tours vary from rustic cabins to luxurious spa retreats, we always seek out lodging to enhance and complement the unique flavor of each destination. After all, your evenings shouldn’t be a break from an outstanding trip, but rather a flawless extension of it.
Escape Adventures has developed a special program to seek out and support only high quality, if not most environmentally conscious suppliers. This operating mindset ensures that those who furnish accommodations on our trips share our passion for protecting our environment. So not only do all of our inns offer outstanding service and reliable, inviting accommodations, many also share concern for our communities. And the only planet we have.
The food tastes better, the sky is certainly bigger, and your mind is clearer.
There is nothing better than rolling into camp to fresh made chips and salsa, homemade guacamole, and Dutch oven enchiladas. Then making your way to a sweet and inviting campfire, sharing your favorite anecdote or image from the day’s activities while marshmallows roast. Enjoy a small-batch, local beer before retiring to your tent. Inside: a sturdy raised cot, fluffy sleeping bag, and a plush full size pillow. Wow. You earned this. Sweet dreams.
We choose well-maintained public campgrounds with scenic vistas and comfortable arrangements. You’ll move seamlessly from one day of your trip to the next, camping outdoors and enjoying wildly healthy, delicious homemade meals.
The majority of our selected campgrounds feature indoor facilities and showers. Conversely, in more remote backcountry camping scenarios, we’ll provide portable toilets and private solar showers.
Camping gear may be rented or you may bring your own. All of our camping gear is tested and hand-chosen from top manufacturers to ensure you get a good nights’ sleep. Our camp gear package includes a three-man tent with fly and a ground tarp, 30-degree sleeping bag, bag liner, camp pillow, and self-inflating ground pad.
Year after year our guests return with their family and friends. Why? Because we build each trip around your needs. We work within your financial boundaries to make your trip the best value. Our Guaranteed Trip Departure Confirmation, 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, Price Match Guarantee, and Loyal Guest Program are a few reasons nearly all of our guests return year after year.
An Escape Adventure trip is a great way to enjoy the company of other active travelers and the camaraderie of shared interests. Travel Solo or with a friend- or two. A cornerstone to our trips are small groups. For over 25 years, Escape Adventures has been taking outdoor enthusiasts beyond the “average” vacation and into the exciting world of small-group adventure travel. Our Guide to Guest ratio is the best in the industry, with an average of 1 guide for every 5 guests. Our small groups of 6 to 13 guests allow for flexible schedules, individualized service, comfort, and deeper backcountry adventure. Don’t be surprised if you come away from your tour with more friends than you had when you arrived!
Many of our tours include guests traveling on their own. Our structured tours and small groups are ideal for solo travelers. On Inn Tours we offer a single-supplement to guarantee you have your own room, or you can let us try to pair you up and share a room with 2 queen beds with another traveler. If we don’t find you a match, you still get your own room at no additional cost to you.
Red Rock Julio was an awesome guide! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time with him. He sensed our eagerness for an intense hike and delivered with ease. He showed us a route up to some glorious canyon views that I would never have found on my own. We loved this hike and truly recommend this friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable and competent guide. Thank you Julio!! …
Hiking the Red Rocks and seeing a natural side of Nevada This was a well organized hiking trip. Julio scaled the hike to the participants-allowing the fast hikers to take a more adventurous hike and the others to have a safe but enjoyable hike. There were 10 of us in the group and we did a lot of hiking. It is hot in August so be prepared with a hat, water, sunscreen, and proper shoes. I wore hiking boots and wool socks and was glad I did so since the terrain is up and down hills and somewhat slippery. The pickup and drop offs on the strip were efficient. Also, Julio accomodated bathroom stops, but once on the trail there are only natural bathrooms. Also, if you've been up all night partying in Vegas, this would not be a good way to cure a hangover. The three of us enjoyed the natural beauty of Nevada's Red Rocks. …
Grand Tetons multisport mountain biking adventure The trip was amazing. Several days of mountain biking with rock climbing and whitewater rafting in between. The guides, Matt and Will B were helpful, friendly, funny, and really good cooks! Definitely the best food I've eaten on a camping trip. They went out of their way to customize the trip for me. Matt even took me on a couple of extra rides after the others were ready to stop for the day. That was deeply appreciated. The environment was beautiful I'd never been in Wyoming before, and this was an amazing way to experience the area. Definitely recommended. …
Amazing tour Just finished hiking one of the trails at the red rock center. We opted to do route 2 because Irving described it as having an amazing view of Las Vegas which is what we were looking for and we received just that! Amazing guide, took us on a different path than the normal to challenge us a little bit and it was excellent! He was able to adapt to different scenarios and conditions and led us exactly to where we wanted to be! I would highly recommend. …
Kick Ass Mountain Biking...not for the faint of heart. Excellent, excellent, excellent! We did Escape's 5 day tour of Zion and Bryce National Parks. The biking was challenging, but our guides were there the entire time to support and encourage us. The meals were. better than most good restaurants. My only word of caution is to take the fitness and skills requirements seriously. This was not the right sort of trip for someone who is looking to 'see the scenery, drink some wine and kick back." IF this is what you are looking for, you are better advised to go with another group. However, if you want a kick ass mountain biking experience with guides who are among the best, you've come to the right place. One last note - the title may be deceiving - we did not cycling in Bryce or Zion National Parks, as that is not allowed. Most of our time was spent in Red Rocks Canyon or near Duck Creek Village, two beautiful parts of the world between Zion and Bryce. We did do some short hikes in the parks in the afternoon. …
Fantastic Mountain Bike Ride Our visit to the Blue Diamond trail was so fun and we had the unique opportunity to experience a rainstorm while on the trail! The view was breathtaking and the beginner level difficulty was just challenging enough to get our adrenaline pumping. 11 miles was just right and we even saw some wild donkeys up in the natural cave openings too. We made a mistake and asked Escape Adventures to configure the pedals with the wrong set so we were stuck, but Irving was kind enough to go back to his residence and grab his spare pedals. He was so motivated to make our ride fun that he went the extra mile to do this for us. While we were on the trail Irving went out of his way to film our ride and even took one for the team thanks to an altercation with a cactus!! (ask him about that, it was a cool story) We ended our ride in a rainstorm which felt great, Irving was so nice and understanding and never rushed us. He gave great advice and even took us on a bonus loop that saw the best views ever (just before the downpour). I highly recommend Escape Adventures and ask for Irving if you can, he will make your experience the best. …
These guys are great! I have ridden with them in Vegas about six times. Always a well- run experience.
And eleven of us just spent five days on their Idaho Hot Springs Intro Tour. Troy and Tanner were our guides, and they were great.
Excellent route planning, very good food, and generally an awesome experience.
The view from the top is great!! This was awesome! Irving was our guide a d he was fantastic! We were picked up at our hotel at 8 and back by noon. We chose to do the Calico Tanks (?) hike. It was a tough route for this old lady but with Irving’s encouragement I made it to the top and I am so glad I did. The view was gorgeous! We are a family of 5 so we had the guide all to ourselves which was awesome. Irving brought plenty of water to keep us hydrated! I highly recommend! …
Idaho Multi-sport Tour What a great adventure! The multi-sport tour in Idaho included mountain biking, hiking, and rafting. Our guides Troy and Tanner are unmatched. They really know the area and provided great advice on mountain biking for a novice like me, who really struggled in the beginning, but they kept encouraging me, which made all the difference. They are smart, engaging, and can cook up a storm. I will remember this trip forever and have a newfound appreciation for the beauty of Idaho.
Ask for Julio! Red Rock Canyon is a must see. Get away from the concrete jungle of the Vegas strip and connect with nature for a few hours! What made my hike extra special was my guide—Julio. It was super hot and several people cancelled. Julio didn’t have to take me since I was the only person left and they don’t normally do guided hikes for one person. But Julio stuck with me and he was just awesome. Born and raised in the area, he grew up exploring all over Red Rock. He knowledge is deep and his love for those mountains and canyons is evident right away. We had a little breeze and shade, but the heat definitely started getting to me. He was very tuned into that—knew exactly when to stop and take a break….even had powdered electrolytes to help me hydrate. It was well over 100 degrees that morning. Not sure I would have lasted as long as I did if it wasn’t for Julio. Such a pleasure to talk with and learn so much about the area. I look forward to hiking at Red Rock again one day—the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
Amazing in every way Our modified trip due to fire closure of Grand Canyon of the Bryce Canyon area was amazing! My wife and I are mostly road cyclists and were nervous since the change went from double track and jeep road with some single track to mostly single track. This trip certainly pushed our limits but in very appreciated ways. I personally faced elements that I normally would not (and rode them) but there were some that I simply had to walk. I will never forget Thunder Mountain! The ride was tough for this MTB newbie but the views were amazing and worth it. Our guides (Carson, Will B, & Matt) were fantastic. They knew the right amount to push, to teach, they entertained, and most of all they rocked the cooking! We were thankful for a "hike day" to rest and an easier trail the last day to boost our confidence! They certainly set the bar very high for our first mountain bike tour! Carson recommend we try the White Rim since our road riding endurance is setup for longer mileage and less technical riding. We plan to followup on his advice and hope we have the chance to ride again with our new friends!
Highly Recommend! Get the E Bike! We did a half day bike tour with Julio and Irvine. It was AWESOME! They were both super friendly and did everything for us which included bike set up, a quick tutorial of the bikes, and carried water for us the whole ride. We took frequent breaks. My wife is a novice rider and they gave her great riding advice on when she should get off and walk the bike and/or when to take it slow, etc.. They were both super friendly and we couldn’t have asked for a better time. I HIGHLY Recommend the E-bike. My wife had it and said it was so helpful and did a lot of the work for her. I wish I would have gotten that one. 10/10!!
