The Escape Adventures Experience

Stop, go outdoors. Take a deep breath. Ride, Hike, Relax. Experience it all. Welcome to Escape Adventures.

Escape Adventures is often imitated, but never duplicated

Since 1992, we have innovated adventure travel. We were the first to bring multi-day off road touring to Taos New Mexico, Escalante and Brianhead Utah, Arkansas and Nevada to name a few. We built the only support vehicle that could take guests all the way into the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park. We brought signature food recipes to backcountry camping that are now staples on many of our clients dining room tables. We were the first to offer full suspension bikes in the bike touring business. The first and only company that has built environmentally friendly, LEED Platinum- Net Zero Energy facilities to house both operational and retail business. We standardized the bicycle rack systems to haul bicycles safely across the rough desert terrain of Moab Utah. We annually are often one of the few companies that clears downfall on the trails we use.

For over 25 years, the hallmark of an Escape Adventures tour is personalized, hands-on service. Before, during, and after each trip. We are a company of honesty and integrity and we stand behind our product 100%. From the moment you learn of our trips, to the time you return home and start planning your next trip, we are here to bring you the best possible experience.

From our Guaranteed Trip Departure Confirmation Policy, making sure your trip is never cancelled, to our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee Policy, backing the unrivaled consistent quality of all our tours, our commitment to you is never compromised.

Our Commitment to The Environment

Our environmental commitment is second to none. It is our way of doing business, our way of being.

At Escape Adventures, we want to make the world a better place. More importantly we believe in leading by example. We run our tours the same way we run our company, with an eye on the triple bottom line: People, Profit & Planet. This means we treat our customers, our community, and our planet with respect, and let our business grow organically. We have always run a value-based and mission-driven company.

At Escape Adventures, we elected to pursue a more comprehensive approach to actually reduce our carbon footprint, rather than just offset it. We overhauled our entire operation — from our vehicles, to our buildings, to our procedures — to become an outdoor industry leader in the charge to help our people and our planet.

Exceptional Service, Exceptional Trip Leaders

Escape Adventures Bike Tour Guide

Leading tours naturally followed from our passion of exploring our favorite places with our friends. As we’ve expanded our service throughout the years from daily biking tours to a vast selection of multi-day mountain biking, road biking, hiking, and multi-sport tours across the nation, our philosophy hasn’t changed. For us it’s all about enjoying and protecting the natural environment and sharing the places and activities we love.

Our support staff includes our reservation team who is there to answer your questions about the tours, our service team who prepares your bike and gear for the tour, and our guide team – the ones who take you into the great outdoors. The highest level of responsibility, good nature, integrity, and dedication are standard traits of all those who work at Escape Adventures. We our proud of it and we think you should know it.

The Best Support Vehicles

Having custom-made vehicles allows us to take you to places few other outfitters can, or will go. Every Escape Adventures tour is accompanied by at least one support vehicle, trailer, and in some cases a second and third transfer van. As you thumb through our catalog, you will also notice our vehicles are big, tough, and different. These are not stock vehicles. After purchase, we custom engineer our trucks, vans, and trailers by our on-staff mechanic to meet the unique needs of different tours. For example, certain trucks are specifically designed for The White Rim and The Maze, while others are designed for The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. We also innovate and try new things with our fleet; Notably, in 2007, we converted many of our support vehicles to vegetable-oil burning engines. We were able to reduce our carbon footprint significantly for more than 5 years! Amazingly, we didn’t sacrifice performance.

It doesn’t just end with a great support vehicle, you need experienced and qualified drivers. Each of our guides is required to be trained in safe vehicle operation, 4X4 driving, and basic maintenance. Our experienced guides make it look easy, transporting you and up to 12 guests, along with their bikes, fresh food, camping gear and plenty of drinking water to a remote location.

The Best Bicycles and Gear

Arizona-North Rim of the Grand Canyon Mountain Bike Tour

Make your trip as comfortable as possible on the body, as simple as possible for traveling, and hasstle free on tour. By choosing to rent a bike from us, we will fit you with the newest, highest quality gear in the industry. Escape Adventures provides only high-end bicycles from Santa Cruz and Specialized. We replace our rental fleet each season to ensure all our rentals meet our standards. All of our mountain bikes are equipped with full suspension frames and disc brakes designed for a smooth, comfortable ride. For those who are touring with a companion who may not be as fit or need a little help up the hills, we now have eMountainbikes (electric pedal assist) available on select tours.

Camping gear may be rented or you may bring your own. All of our camping gear is tested and hand-chosen from top manufacturers to ensure you get a good nights’ sleep. Our camp gear package includes a three-man tent with fly and a ground tarp, 30-degree sleeping bag, bag liner, raised cot, camp pillow, and sleeping pad.

The Best Food

Our food isn’t just good, it’s good for you. Food is a big part of the Escape Adventures experience. Our guides prepare all of your meals on our camping trips, while most dinners and breakfasts are served at local restaurants on our inn tours. Expect three delicious meals a day consisting entirely of freshly prepared foods. These include fresh organic fruits and vegetables as well as meats. We also have energy snacks aboard our support vehicles. Don’t be surprised if your guides purchase fresh fruits and healthy snacks throughout the day while you are out riding. They may just show up on the trail with a local treat!

On our Camping Tours guides prepare gourmet meals out in the open, grilling fajitas over an open fire and baking enchilada pie in an outdoor Dutch oven. Some of our guests’ favorite guide specialties include blueberry pancakes for breakfast, veggie-feta wraps and pasta for lunch, and bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms and deep dish pizza for dinner. And we don’t forget the dessert either- from pineapple upside down cake to chocolate fondue, there’s sure to be something to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Many of our guests are vegans or vegetarians, whom we are more than happy to accommodate. If you have special diet requirements or limitations, just let us know when you sign-up and we’ll work with you to meet your needs.

The Best and Most Unique Accommodations

We know that a good night’s sleep is the key to a great day of adventure. With Escape Adventures you are able to experience unique style and local hospitality in the best inns and campsites available.

Luxury Inns and Premiere Restaurants

When we refer to the term Luxury, we refer to, “the very best”. Our founder, Jared Fisher, not only claims a professional education in Hotel and Restaurant Management, he’s also a student of the culinary arts. His working knowledge and familiarity with elite hospitality carried over to the selection of our lodgings. Each Luxury Inn was handpicked in advance: the criteria being 4-5-star service, room quality, and cultural themes. Our restaurants are chosen in a similar fashion: emphasizing experience and culture, but with particular attention paid to best local ingredients. Look for Luxury Inns and Restaurants on select tours.

Casual Inns, Cool Hotels, and Cozy Cabins

Casual Inns, Cool Hotels, Cozy Cabins | Escape Adventures

Because of the nature of our very remote trekking and traveling locales, we retire to only the best, handpicked hotels and available inns. Put another way, we take your decompression seriously. Our Casual Inn tours provide the best of both worlds: enjoy exciting outdoor adventures by day; then return to town each evening for a scrumptious meal. Followed by bedding down warm and ultra comfortably.

We choose inn accommodations that add another rather distinct dimension to your travel. From special amenities like hot tubs and fireplaces, to historic character and unique charm, our inns offer you something extra. While the inns featured on our tours vary from rustic cabins to luxurious spa retreats, we always seek out lodging to enhance and complement the unique flavor of each destination. After all, your evenings shouldn’t be a break from an outstanding trip, but rather a flawless extension of it.

Escape Adventures has developed a special program to seek out and support only high quality, if not most environmentally conscious suppliers. This operating mindset ensures that those who furnish accommodations on our trips share our passion for protecting our environment. So not only do all of our inns offer outstanding service and reliable, inviting accommodations, many also share concern for our communities. And the only planet we have.

First-Class Camping

The food tastes better, the sky is certainly bigger, and your mind is clearer.

There is nothing better than rolling into camp to fresh made chips and salsa, homemade guacamole, and Dutch oven enchiladas. Then making your way to a sweet and inviting campfire, sharing your favorite anecdote or image from the day’s activities while marshmallows roast. Enjoy a small-batch, local beer before retiring to your tent. Inside: a sturdy raised cot, fluffy sleeping bag, and a plush full size pillow. Wow. You earned this. Sweet dreams.

We choose well-maintained public campgrounds with scenic vistas and comfortable arrangements. You’ll move seamlessly from one day of your trip to the next, camping outdoors and enjoying wildly healthy, delicious homemade meals.

The majority of our selected campgrounds feature indoor facilities and showers. Conversely, in more remote backcountry camping scenarios, we’ll provide portable toilets and private solar showers.

Camping gear may be rented or you may bring your own. All of our camping gear is tested and hand-chosen from top manufacturers to ensure you get a good nights’ sleep. Our camp gear package includes a three-man tent with fly and a ground tarp, 30-degree sleeping bag, bag liner, camp pillow, and self-inflating ground pad.

The Most Traveling Options

Year after year our guests return with their family and friends. Why? Because we build each trip around your needs. We work within your financial boundaries to make your trip the best value. Our Guaranteed Trip Departure Confirmation, 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, Price Match Guarantee, and Loyal Guest Program are a few reasons nearly all of our guests return year after year.

The Original Escape Adventures Trip

An Escape Adventure trip is a great way to enjoy the company of other active travelers and the camaraderie of shared interests. Travel Solo or with a friend- or two. A cornerstone to our trips are small groups. For over 25 years, Escape Adventures has been taking outdoor enthusiasts beyond the “average” vacation and into the exciting world of small-group adventure travel. Our Guide to Guest ratio is the best in the industry, with an average of 1 guide for every 5 guests. Our small groups of 6 to 13 guests allow for flexible schedules, individualized service, comfort, and deeper backcountry adventure. Don’t be surprised if you come away from your tour with more friends than you had when you arrived!

Many of our tours include guests traveling on their own. Our structured tours and small groups are ideal for solo travelers. On Inn Tours we offer a single-supplement to guarantee you have your own room, or you can let us try to pair you up and share a room with 2 queen beds with another traveler. If we don’t find you a match, you still get your own room at no additional cost to you.

Nice break from urban Las Vegas My husband and I really enjoyed our tour November 4. The electric bikes were a blast and Julio was an excellent guide. He shared a bit about red rock facts and even showed us petroglyphs - very cool. Julio also recommended we eat at Pure Indian Restaurant. Delicious! Thanks Julio!

Love Red Rock Canyon Beautiful scenery away from the city lights. Nice to get on a bike and tour the park. Guided trip means they follow you with van support. The first 4 miles have significant climb (but van will take you to the high point if you need a boost) but rest is pretty easy cycling. Chris W was helpful guide. Miscommunication before trip meant they packed the wrong bike for hubby, but after a short detour to shop, we got him the perfect sized bike

EXCELLENT….Had a blast 3rd tour with Escape Adventures was a blast. Went out to Red Rock Canyon for a hike with heavy emphasis with scrambling up the terrain. Our guide, Julio, knocked it out of the park. He took us to a cave, and at our request an off the beaten path scramble up to various ridge tops. A ton of fun for us and something a little different for him too. Julio checks all the boxes for a guideprofessional, fun, competent, knowledgeable, etc, etc with the desire to make sure you are enjoying yourself while keeping you safe. We keep using Escape Adventures because they are great. Get away from the strip and see some beautyRed Rock Canyon is gorgeous.

Breath Taking Views We loved the beautiful scenery on the tour. It really was breathtaking. This is a beautiful hike but a little steep and rocky in some places. Be sure to wear hiking books or sturdy shoes. Our guide, Chris, was excellent. He was a wealth of knowledge about the canyon, the geography and the history of the area. He was friendly and encouraging and literally extended his hand to help us scramble over some rocky paths.

Great experience all around This hike was a great experience all around. Julio was the best guide ever. He did a really great job tailoring the hike to the experience level of our group, which went a long way to making it the enjoyable experience that it was. He is knowledgeable, professional, fun, and attentive to the needs of the group. Our hike was just over 2 hours (about 4 hours total trip when you count the 30 minute drive to/from the Las Vegas strip) was the perfect, refreshing half-day getaway in Las Vegas.

The Maze - October '21 This was our second trip with Escape Adventures. We did the White Rim Trail last September and the Maze this October. Once again EA did not disappoint. Our guides, Emily and Dan, were professional, knowledgeable and all around great people. The Maze was challenging and rewarding. I can't wait for next year's adventure - perhaps Aquarius!

Aquarius Trail-Hut 2 Hut Our group of 8 friends rode the Aquarius Trail with Escape Adventures on their Hut 2 Hut tour. Our gear was taken to each hut and our incredible guides, Kelsey and Matt, provided lunch each day at mid-way points. The Huts were excellent and the food was incredible. Kudos to the Escape Adventure team for working with the Forest Service to set up beautiful Hut locations. The daily distance and vertical would be a challenge for self assisted tours so I highly recommend using the Escape support team. Our group consisted of experience riders with excellent gear. This trail is not for beginners.

Fantastic Guided Mountain Bike Trip (6 days) Great mountain biking trip in beautiful Southern Utah! Snow and rain threw us a curveball on day one, but Escape Adventures reworked our itinerary and we had a great time! Guides Merrick and Matt were awesome, as were the bikes, camping gear, and meals! I'd highly recommend Escape Adventures for your next active adventure trip.

Chris led myself & 3 others through the red rock canyon of the Mojave desert by the spring mountain.
We rode $4,000-5,000 top quality full suspension bikes provided by this company. This tour provided bikes, water, helmets, guided tour & transportation to and from the vast choices of single track trails.

This is a must do experience in the Las Vegas area.

I had a great experience with Escape Adventures. The entire trip was well planned and our guides were attentive and effective multi-taskers. Kelsy and Will were camp chefs, bike mechanics, companions, story tellers, and also camp moderators. Really, they worked from dawn to well after dusk to ensure their riders had a good experience.
I can highly recommend this outfit, and I could not speak more highly of the guides we had.

We had an outstanding trip with Escape Adventures! My family did the Bryce & Zion Mountain Biking Intro tour. Our guides - Kelsey and Matt - were fabulous, caring and excellent at all their responsibilities whether it was on the trails, cooking or picking a campsite, they were pros. And great people to hang out with for a week. The bikes and camping equipment were top notch and our guides made sure our bikes were perfectly adjusted for each person.

All the food they made while camping was amazing - delicious, creative, filling, nutritious and fueling. Matt & Kelsey did an awesome job catering to dietary needs. It was clear that they really cared about getting that right. At times we felt like we were in a gourmet restaurant with beautiful views everywhere.

The itinerary had a good variety of terrains. A major highlight was biking the road into Zion - breathtaking! We highly recommend Escape Adventures and can't wait to go on another trip with them in the future.

Aquarius Trail Hut System TL/DR: Would do again 10/10 RIDE Unbelievable ride and scenery with a never-ending buffet of Utah goodies: gorgeous single track, jeep roads up and down though spectacular desert/mountains and even some road miles through mind-blowing red rock surroundings. If you are a super fit dirt head then probably do all of the add-on rides too to get your fill. If you are not so strong but can still pedal and deal with some technical riding then maybe an ebike will save your ass. Anyone who is in decent shape with bike skills can do this ride but stronger is definitely better. GUIDES These are the guides you are looking for. Carter Lee, Bobby Dean Nelson and Todd are your Dream Guide Team bringing leadership, local experience, trail and hut knowledge, riding chops, mechanical wizardry and all around good times. Bonus points for cooking skills. HUTS Aquarius Trail Hut System is one of a kind and awesome - each hut is in an insane setting with insulated bunk houses, a full kitchen and solar power for you phone and GPS plus every hut has propane fire pits, hammocks, a guitar and a bluetooth speaker for some post-ride chill
