The Escape Adventures Experience

Stop, go outdoors. Take a deep breath. Ride, Hike, Relax. Experience it all. Welcome to Escape Adventures.

Escape Adventures is often imitated, but never duplicated

Since 1992, we have innovated adventure travel. We were the first to bring multi-day off road touring to Taos New Mexico, Escalante and Brianhead Utah, Arkansas and Nevada to name a few. We built the only support vehicle that could take guests all the way into the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park. We brought signature food recipes to backcountry camping that are now staples on many of our clients dining room tables. We were the first to offer full suspension bikes in the bike touring business. The first and only company that has built environmentally friendly, LEED Platinum- Net Zero Energy facilities to house both operational and retail business. We standardized the bicycle rack systems to haul bicycles safely across the rough desert terrain of Moab Utah. We annually are often one of the few companies that clears downfall on the trails we use.

For over 25 years, the hallmark of an Escape Adventures tour is personalized, hands-on service. Before, during, and after each trip. We are a company of honesty and integrity and we stand behind our product 100%. From the moment you learn of our trips, to the time you return home and start planning your next trip, we are here to bring you the best possible experience.

From our Guaranteed Trip Departure Confirmation Policy, making sure your trip is never cancelled, to our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee Policy, backing the unrivaled consistent quality of all our tours, our commitment to you is never compromised.

Our Commitment to The Environment

Our environmental commitment is second to none. It is our way of doing business, our way of being.

At Escape Adventures, we want to make the world a better place. More importantly we believe in leading by example. We run our tours the same way we run our company, with an eye on the triple bottom line: People, Profit & Planet. This means we treat our customers, our community, and our planet with respect, and let our business grow organically. We have always run a value-based and mission-driven company.

At Escape Adventures, we elected to pursue a more comprehensive approach to actually reduce our carbon footprint, rather than just offset it. We overhauled our entire operation — from our vehicles, to our buildings, to our procedures — to become an outdoor industry leader in the charge to help our people and our planet.

Exceptional Service, Exceptional Trip Leaders

Escape Adventures Bike Tour Guide

Leading tours naturally followed from our passion of exploring our favorite places with our friends. As we’ve expanded our service throughout the years from daily biking tours to a vast selection of multi-day mountain biking, road biking, hiking, and multi-sport tours across the nation, our philosophy hasn’t changed. For us it’s all about enjoying and protecting the natural environment and sharing the places and activities we love.

Our support staff includes our reservation team who is there to answer your questions about the tours, our service team who prepares your bike and gear for the tour, and our guide team – the ones who take you into the great outdoors. The highest level of responsibility, good nature, integrity, and dedication are standard traits of all those who work at Escape Adventures. We our proud of it and we think you should know it.

The Best Support Vehicles

Having custom-made vehicles allows us to take you to places few other outfitters can, or will go. Every Escape Adventures tour is accompanied by at least one support vehicle, trailer, and in some cases a second and third transfer van. As you thumb through our catalog, you will also notice our vehicles are big, tough, and different. These are not stock vehicles. After purchase, we custom engineer our trucks, vans, and trailers by our on-staff mechanic to meet the unique needs of different tours. For example, certain trucks are specifically designed for The White Rim and The Maze, while others are designed for The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. We also innovate and try new things with our fleet; Notably, in 2007, we converted many of our support vehicles to vegetable-oil burning engines. We were able to reduce our carbon footprint significantly for more than 5 years! Amazingly, we didn’t sacrifice performance.

It doesn’t just end with a great support vehicle, you need experienced and qualified drivers. Each of our guides is required to be trained in safe vehicle operation, 4X4 driving, and basic maintenance. Our experienced guides make it look easy, transporting you and up to 12 guests, along with their bikes, fresh food, camping gear and plenty of drinking water to a remote location.

The Best Bicycles and Gear

Arizona-North Rim of the Grand Canyon Mountain Bike Tour

Make your trip as comfortable as possible on the body, as simple as possible for traveling, and hasstle free on tour. By choosing to rent a bike from us, we will fit you with the newest, highest quality gear in the industry. Escape Adventures provides only high-end bicycles from Santa Cruz and Specialized. We replace our rental fleet each season to ensure all our rentals meet our standards. All of our mountain bikes are equipped with full suspension frames and disc brakes designed for a smooth, comfortable ride. For those who are touring with a companion who may not be as fit or need a little help up the hills, we now have eMountainbikes (electric pedal assist) available on select tours.

Camping gear may be rented or you may bring your own. All of our camping gear is tested and hand-chosen from top manufacturers to ensure you get a good nights’ sleep. Our camp gear package includes a three-man tent with fly and a ground tarp, 30-degree sleeping bag, bag liner, camp pillow, and self-inflating ground pad.

The Best Food

Our food isn’t just good, it’s good for you. Food is a big part of the Escape Adventures experience. Our guides prepare all of your meals on our camping trips, while most dinners and breakfasts are served at local restaurants on our inn tours. Expect three delicious meals a day consisting entirely of freshly prepared foods. These include fresh organic fruits and vegetables as well as meats. We also have energy snacks aboard our support vehicles. Don’t be surprised if your guides purchase fresh fruits and healthy snacks throughout the day while you are out riding. They may just show up on the trail with a local treat!

On our Camping Tours guides prepare gourmet meals out in the open, grilling fajitas over an open fire and baking enchilada pie in an outdoor Dutch oven. Some of our guests’ favorite guide specialties include blueberry pancakes for breakfast, veggie-feta wraps and pasta for lunch, and bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms and deep dish pizza for dinner. And we don’t forget the dessert either- from pineapple upside down cake to chocolate fondue, there’s sure to be something to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Many of our guests are vegans or vegetarians, whom we are more than happy to accommodate. If you have special diet requirements or limitations, just let us know when you sign-up and we’ll work with you to meet your needs.

The Best and Most Unique Accommodations

We know that a good night’s sleep is the key to a great day of adventure. With Escape Adventures you are able to experience unique style and local hospitality in the best inns and campsites available.

Luxury Inns and Premiere Restaurants

When we refer to the term Luxury, we refer to, “the very best”. Our founder, Jared Fisher, not only claims a professional education in Hotel and Restaurant Management, he’s also a student of the culinary arts. His working knowledge and familiarity with elite hospitality carried over to the selection of our lodgings. Each Luxury Inn was handpicked in advance: the criteria being 4-5-star service, room quality, and cultural themes. Our restaurants are chosen in a similar fashion: emphasizing experience and culture, but with particular attention paid to best local ingredients. Look for Luxury Inns and Restaurants on select tours.

Casual Inns, Cool Hotels, and Cozy Cabins

Casual Inns, Cool Hotels, Cozy Cabins | Escape Adventures

Because of the nature of our very remote trekking and traveling locales, we retire to only the best, handpicked hotels and available inns. Put another way, we take your decompression seriously. Our Casual Inn tours provide the best of both worlds: enjoy exciting outdoor adventures by day; then return to town each evening for a scrumptious meal. Followed by bedding down warm and ultra comfortably.

We choose inn accommodations that add another rather distinct dimension to your travel. From special amenities like hot tubs and fireplaces, to historic character and unique charm, our inns offer you something extra. While the inns featured on our tours vary from rustic cabins to luxurious spa retreats, we always seek out lodging to enhance and complement the unique flavor of each destination. After all, your evenings shouldn’t be a break from an outstanding trip, but rather a flawless extension of it.

Escape Adventures has developed a special program to seek out and support only high quality, if not most environmentally conscious suppliers. This operating mindset ensures that those who furnish accommodations on our trips share our passion for protecting our environment. So not only do all of our inns offer outstanding service and reliable, inviting accommodations, many also share concern for our communities. And the only planet we have.

First-Class Camping

The food tastes better, the sky is certainly bigger, and your mind is clearer.

There is nothing better than rolling into camp to fresh made chips and salsa, homemade guacamole, and Dutch oven enchiladas. Then making your way to a sweet and inviting campfire, sharing your favorite anecdote or image from the day’s activities while marshmallows roast. Enjoy a small-batch, local beer before retiring to your tent. Inside: a sturdy raised cot, fluffy sleeping bag, and a plush full size pillow. Wow. You earned this. Sweet dreams.

We choose well-maintained public campgrounds with scenic vistas and comfortable arrangements. You’ll move seamlessly from one day of your trip to the next, camping outdoors and enjoying wildly healthy, delicious homemade meals.

The majority of our selected campgrounds feature indoor facilities and showers. Conversely, in more remote backcountry camping scenarios, we’ll provide portable toilets and private solar showers.

The Most Traveling Options

Year after year our guests return with their family and friends. Why? Because we build each trip around your needs. We work within your financial boundaries to make your trip the best value. Our Guaranteed Trip Departure Confirmation, 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, Price Match Guarantee, and Loyal Guest Program are a few reasons nearly all of our guests return year after year.

The Original Escape Adventures Trip

An Escape Adventure trip is a great way to enjoy the company of other active travelers and the camaraderie of shared interests. Travel Solo or with a friend- or two. A cornerstone to our trips are small groups. For over 25 years, Escape Adventures has been taking outdoor enthusiasts beyond the “average” vacation and into the exciting world of small-group adventure travel. Our Guide to Guest ratio is the best in the industry, with an average of 1 guide for every 5 guests. Our small groups of 6 to 13 guests allow for flexible schedules, individualized service, comfort, and deeper backcountry adventure. Don’t be surprised if you come away from your tour with more friends than you had when you arrived!

Many of our tours include guests traveling on their own. Our structured tours and small groups are ideal for solo travelers. On Inn Tours we offer a single-supplement to guarantee you have your own room, or you can let us try to pair you up and share a room with 2 queen beds with another traveler. If we don’t find you a match, you still get your own room at no additional cost to you.

Fantastic guide and hike! This was our favourite activity from our recent trip to Vegas. Our guide selected a hike that was a great fit for what we were looking for and we enjoyed beautiful views and conversation while also learning about the rock formations and plants. We would absolutely recommend!

Fun Outdoor Experience Away From Vegas Craziness We were in Las Vegas for 4 days for a birthday, and wanted to get some fresh air and a little exercise out in the desert, away from the city. This was our first e-bike experience (we're usually hikers), and we LOVED it!! Each cyclist can make the effort as hard or as easy as you want; we went easier (more power assisted) to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. The scenery of Red Rock Canyon was fantastic, and the exercise and fresh air and quiet was such a welcomed break from the sensory overload of The Strip...but just ~20 miles away, an easy half day nature adventure. The tour company ran things smoothly and was well organized, and our guide Irving was fantastic: very personable and knowledgeable and took tons of pictures of us in the scenery! We would absolutely do this again!

Mountain Biking with Irving We had the most amazing time mountain biking. Why more visitors to Las Vegas don't go out and see the desert is beyond me. It's beautiful! We had never mountain biked in terrain like this and in the beginning, it was a little scary. But Irving calmed my nerves and helped me through the steep, rocky, ups and downs. I'm 59, so don't be afraid. We've done Street bike tours all over the world and Irving was one of the best guides we've every had. Landscapes are gorgeous. Get out of the smokey casinos and see the real sights!!

Great morning ride!!! Beautiful and scenic ride, and an "over-the-top" experience. This was my companion's first ride ever, and we felt well taken care of. I would definitely do it again, although I think that was her first and last time

Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Great mountain biking outside of Vegas. Had a great time on the half day ride in red Rock canyon today. Good bikes, a friendly guide who did a great job of accommodating the various skill levels, and some really fun trails help to get you away from the strip and even work off some of the many indulgences Vegas offers. Would highly recommend to anyone who mountain bikes and hasn't experienced desert riding. Trails have a few tricky areas but are still beginner friendly while offering some nice challenges for more experienced riders.

Amazing trip Scott was our guide yesterday and he was awesome. I am in town for a meeting and my fiancé joined me. We really wanted to get away from the strip and explore Mother Nature. It was a Thursday so we only had one other person with us which was great we all wanted the same hike. Scott made sure to let us have plenty of water and even stopped at the park sign so we could get a picture. He was very informative and our favorite guide we have ever had. If we come back we will definitely book with them again!

Had a great guided tour with Irving. He accommodated a beginner rider in our group while more advanced riders split off on a side trail and he also had extra water in his backpack for everyone. Bikes were in great condition. Great guide and great day on the trails!

Most Fun in Las Vegas! This mountain bike tour at Cottonwood/Mustang Trail was the highlight of our Las Vegas vacation. Our guide, Scott DelGiudice, was informative and fun and shared lots of interesting info about the area. As beginner trail riders, he gave excellent instructions which allowed us to become totally comfortable on the bikes very quickly and fully enjoy the tour while taking in the beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend this exhilarating bike ride on a desert trail.

Red Rock Bike Adventure!! My husband and I are new to Las Vegas and wanted to challenge ourselves with a fun adventure. The Guided Road Bike Tour was everything we could of asked for. It was hard going uphill in the beginning but everything after that was awesome. Especially with the guidance of Irving to help us out with water and some advice. If your looking for a safe adventure, I would definitely recommend the Guided Road Bike Tour.

Red Rock Canyon MTB trails Had a real blast exploring Red Rock Canyon MTB trails with Irving. Beautiful scenery, interesting wildlife, all within a short drive of Vegas.
He was an excellent guide - a skilled rider and helpful at explaining our options at each stage and ensuring that we were safe, stopping at the more challenging parts and advising us how to navigate obstacles safely. He explained about the wildlife and pointed out anything of interest to us.
Also the bike was a dream to ride, was well set up - an opportunity to try out a high end mountain bike that I can only dream of owning. And the icing on the cake: the shop is run in a very environmentally friendly way with a low carbon footprint.
I highly recommend this adventure if you are up for some fun -  for me it was a highlight of my visit to Vegas.

Customized trail ride I wasn't sure what to expect on this ride, but our guide was extremely good at catering the ride to everyone's riding styles/capabilities. There were several different trail options that ran parallel to each other which gave riders options at several points along the ride.

Erving our guide was awesome. He new just how and when to push, and when to give riders a break if they needed it. It was a perfect ride on a perfect day.

The White Rim tour is a fantastic trip We just came off a White Rim tour in Canyonlands. Other than the weather getting a bit windy and cold for a day or so the trip itself was fantastic. Great support from our guides Merrick and Will, both with the bikes and feeding us. The food was wonderful, the scenery superb, and our fellow bikers were a diverse and friendly group. How many times in your life have you had freshly made tortilla chips to go with your freshly mashed guacamole? Yum.

Escape Adventures......Awesome Experience !!! We took a morning hike in Red Rock Canyon. The experience was positive from the moment our friendly and knowledgeable guide arrived at our hotel...exactly on time and as described. He generated conversation during the trip to the hike, between us and another couple who were taking a bike excursion, while efficiently addressing a few administrative needs.
Once we began the hike, our guide sized up exactly what we were hoping to get out of the hike.....and that’s exactly what was delivered. It was like going for a great hike with a friend.
The hike itself was extremely scenic and worth every second. We would highly recommend Escape Adventures !! We plan on hiking with them again during future visits.
