We asked Dr. Cacinda Maloney of PointsandTravel about her ideas for an active vacation in the United States and she came up with a fun-filled adventure for you and your health!
From Bryce Canyon to Zion National Park, there is no doubt that Utah is home to some of the most beautiful hiking and biking trails in the United States. They also have gorgeous sunsets, as well as mountainous landscapes. Utah has thousands of visitors who come to visit the Beehive State. Most of those visitors get there by arriving by airplane, then renting a car to really see the place on their own. I wanted to let you know that I chose something truly unique for you to do in Utah — adventurous ebiking! I bet you haven’t thought of doing that!

What are E-Biking Tours All About?
I was skeptical about how many days I could e-bike and hike. The tour company I chose, Escape Adventures, offers e-bike adventures from 5 to 7 days in length, which also includes daily hikes. I wasn’t sure I could do it physically. I mean, who can ride 25-45 miles a day on a bicycle and then hike 2-6 miles in the parks? I guess I can because that is exactly what I did.
Before I went, I also wondered about the terrain. What was that going to be like? Was it going to be a smooth pathway or rocky/dirt hiking trails? Was there going to be a certain speed that I had to keep up with? Were there going to enough breaks? Water supplied? Those were the questions that were floating around in my head.

An E-Biking Tour Takes Care of Everything!
Let me put you at ease and let you know that the crew at Escape Adventures is there to guide you. They will help you succeed and overall take care of you and your safety. And although the trip was challenging, it was doable, fun, and an adventurous way to see Utah. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip with my other companions, as well as the wonderful food provided by the guides.
E-Biking Tour with Escape Adventures

Escape Adventures has one of its location in Las Vegas, Nevada. With this tour company, you can fly into the Vegas airport and stay overnight at the Las Vegas Elements Summerlin Hotel. It is next door to their bicycle shop in Las Vegas known as Las Vegas Cyclery. Once you arrive, you will get to get a glimpse into their inventory of e-bikes, helmets, bicycle shoes, padded seat shorts, and everything else associated with the e-bikes.Book This Hotel
Las Vegas is the perfect place to start because only Vegas or Salt Lake City are the two closest places to fly into to get to the parks you will visit. Both airports are about an equal distance apart from these locations. Once in Las Vegas, you will be driven to Utah by the seasoned tour guides the next morning after a briefing.
My e-bike tour included miles of stunning views of both Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. As well as meals prepared by the guides and even a nighttime fire pit. In between the hiking and e-biking, we stayed at small inns along the route. The crew handled every aspect of the e-bike with regards to loading and unloading. As mentioned before, they are here to make sure you enjoy your e-biking adventure.

E-Biking Tours Through the Utah Mountains
You can e-bike the perimeters of the mountainous parks getting close-up views of many of these places that can not be seen from a car. With this pedal-assist bike, you can ride for more miles than you normally would on a regular bike. Even the mountainous hills going up will feel like a breeze! Not to mention, there are seasoned tour guides, paved bike pathways, and places to stop along the way for a picnic.
Not only that, the tour company’s crew does it all for you. All you have to do is supply the manpower and they do the rest. Even if you get a flat tire along the route, they have everything they need to fix it right there for you. If you get tired or just want a break, there is always a ride in the van that follows along the route. It can stop and pick you up or you can ride along from the beginning if you want a break.
E-Biking Day Tours are Available

Escape Adventures also has half-day tours out of Las Vegas, Nevada to see Red Rock Canyon. The tour includes a shuttle ride to/from the Las Vegas Strip, the pedal-assist bike rental, the helmet, and water on a paved road. For me, the real thrill was being about to finally get to visit Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park in Utah. So although you could try out a half-day tour, after that, I am sure you will get hooked into wanting to do the 5-day and 7-day e-bike tours to Utah.
What To Bring When E-Biking?
The most important item to bring with you is water, either make sure you have a CamelBak backpack filled with water or a squirt bottle. Other essential items to pack for an e-biking adventure are light and breathable clothing, sunscreen, proper protective gear such as helmet, sunglasses, neck guard, and gloves. As well as a first aid kit, protein snacks, and your cell phone.
While you are planning your next trip, be sure and make it an e-biking tour for your health. The e-bike will save you a lot of leg power and energy so that you can relax on your vacation. Plus you can exercise and get the health benefits while on vacation. The excitement of the wind in your hair and observing stunning mountainous sceneries should be enough to get you on that bike path. Make your next adventure an e-biking trip, you will be glad you did!
