This week we’re highlighting Bobby, our most experienced and most beardy guide! He has been leading bike trips in the Southwestern U.S. for 15 years, and this will be his 5th season with Escape. Bobby possesses a wide range of talents, and his love for the outdoors is unmistakable.
He’s got some amazing stories to share, a knack for geology, bike mechanic skills 🔧, and even a few secret recipes up his sleeve—all contributing to his excellence as a guide and as an individual. He truly loves sharing the outdoors with others, and even majored in outdoor education and leadership at NAU.
A few months back, Bobby married his wife, Brenna, surrounded by close friends at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. 💍 Congrats you two! They currently live in Colorado with the unofficial mascot of Escape Adventures, their 5-year-old boxer mix named Pickles 🐶.

This will be his 4th season leading tours with Escape Adventures. He’s extremely thoughtful, helpful, kind, and an absolute pleasure to work with.☀️
Zach loves to explore new places and things—his curiosity leading him from the depths of canyons to the inner workings of a combustion engine.
Before joining our team, Zach worked as a service manager at a bike shop in Tennessee. We are continually blown away by his mechanical skills, which extend well beyond bicycles.
Zach may be seen riding a bike, a motorcycle, a pack raft, or even a unicycle! If you`re lucky enough to have him as your guide, be sure to prepare yourself for some cheesy puns!🧀

For those of you who have trekked and traveled with us over the past quarter century, Heather and I express our sincerest gratitude.
