The Beehive State is another mountain-biking hot spot and the Aquarius Trail Hut System wriggles through a remarkable stretch of southern Utah. The five huts are dotted along 190-miles’ (306km) worth of trails, which take in rugged plateaus, canyons and forest en route from Brian Head to Escalante. The huts have got some serious eco credentials, too: each off-grid bolthole is solar powered and made from shipping containers.
