“The Kokopelli Trail is one of the best bikepacking routes in the USA and an awesome way to explore the beautiful Colorado and Utah desert,” said Jared Fisher, Director of Escape Adventures.
The Kokopelli trail provides stunning scenery including views of the Colorado River, Yellow Jacket Canyon, View Point Arch, and the La Sal Mountain range. The route can be ridden from Spring until Fall. However, it is extremely hot during the summer and can have snow in the higher elevations during the early spring and late fall months.
Highlights:
Day 1-2: Bike singletrack and jeep trails for two days along the Colorado River corridor.
Day 3-4: Ride underneath Fisher Towers and up Onion Creek. Climb high into the La Sal Mountains to an alpine camp.
Day 5: Descend along the Porcupine Rim back to Moab via Sand Flats Road.
Escape Adventures selects campgrounds with scenic vistas and comfortable arrangements. Riders will move seamlessly from one day of the trip to the next, enjoying wildly healthy, delicious homemade meals. Escape Adventures will provide portable toilets and private solar showers.
